Quick start

This guide will help you get up and running in just a few minutes.

Install the extension

1. Visit the Chrome Web Store
2. Click Add to Chrome to install the extension
3. Open your Extensions page (or type chrome://extensions/ in the address bar)
4. Click on the extension called Substash

Tip: Pin 📌 the extension to your toolbar for easy access!

Sign in with email

1. Click Substash from your browser toolbar
2. Enter your email address and click Request login code
3. Check your inbox for your One-Time Password (login code)
4. Reopen Substash and enter your login code
5. Click Verify code to login

Note: The login process is identical for both new and existing users.

Add your first subscription

1. Click the + New button in the top right corner
2. Enter the subscription name (e.g., “Netflix” or “Spotify”)
3. Add the price, currency, billing cycle and start date
4. Select a trial period if applicable (default: no trial)
5. Provide URLs for the subscription and notes (optional)
6. Click 💾 Save to add your first subscription

Note: Brand logos are automatically pulled from the Website URL.
